Blend of period restorations and new builds. The project involved extensive reconfiguring of a country manor house and ancillary farm buildings, which were successfully converted into modern homes. Careful detailing was required in order to preserve the character of the existing properties. Consideration of scale and materials was important to evolve the character of the site as a whole

Redevelopment of an existing breakers yard. Working with the developer and the local authority, I came up with a scheme which suited the streetscape but was contemporary and attractive to buyers. The design was simple yet modern, blending eco finishes such as green roofs, flush solar panels, retaining mature trees and adding new greenery to enhance the environment.
Internally, I focussed on family-friendly open-plan living spaces with a light and attractive kitchen plus well-sized bedrooms.

Working with a family who wanted as far away from a white plastic box as possible, we created an anti-conservatory with mirrored higglety-pigglety slatting and a stepped outdoor entertaining space with flexible solar shading.
Project Type: Courtyard infill to a grade 1 listed school

New sixth form facilities within the existing fabric. Ensured the finished design retained the visibility and character of the early Victorian School buildings. Project included perimeter natural lighting and a large lantern roof light which is used to control the environmental temperature.

A new concept for a small independent coffee chain from spacial design through to detail design of bespoke furniture, kitchen and bar. Client wanted to use local responsibly-sourced materials throughout, including - rattan, marble and timber. As featured in Wallpaper* magazine.
